MORE SUPPORT FOR THE COMMISSION

The United Nations Development Programme {UNDP} has pledged its continued assistance to the commission as it prepares for the 2007 elections.

The UNDP representative, who was in the commission to discuss possible areas of assistance to the commission in its build up to 2007, said that the organization was also interested in the commission’s level of preparedness as well as to exchange views.

He further reiterated the commitment of the organization to helping the commission do its job successfully.

It would be recalled that the UNDP played a key co-coordinating role during the 2003 elections.
