A RECALL PETITION AGAINST SENATOR ARTHUR NZERIBE

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Maurice Iwu has promised the petitioners from Imo West Senatorial District of diligence in verifying the signatures of petitioners for the recall of Senator Arthur Nzeribe representing Orlu Senatorial Zone of Imo State.

Professor Iwu noted that the due process for recall as stipulated in the law of the land would be deligently followed adding “Where the truth leads me I will go”

He explained that the law of recall demanded that Senator Nzeribe be contacted to verify and comment on the signatures of the petitioners after when the Commission would commence its action by verifying the authenticity of the signatures of the registered voters in the Senatorial District.

Earlier, the leader of the petitioners, Dr. Samfo Nwankwo had accused the Senator of unsavory activities against the development of the zone.
