Mrs. Esther Charity Salla
Mrs. Esther Charity Salla was born on 27 th September, 1946 . She hails from Karimi Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.

She had Grade 111 and Grade 11 certificates in 1961 and 1964 respectively. She obtained a Bachelor in Education in 1976 and proceeded to Advance Teachers College where she obtained a Higher Diploma in Intant Methodology in 1973.

Positions held include: Head Mistress, Primary School - 1965 ; Teacher, Secondary School – 1969 ; Principal, Women Teachers College, Sugu - 1977-1985; Principal, Govt. College - 1983-1985; Dep. Director, Planning, Research and Statistics - 1985-1988 ; Sole Administrator of Numan Local Government Area – 1989 – 1990; Director General, Ministry of Education, Gongola State – 1990 – 1991; Sole Administrator of Wukari Local Government Area, Taraba State – September to December 1991; Director, Primary Education – 1992; Director, Planning, Research and Statistics - 1992-1995 ; Executive Secretary, Women Commission – 1995 – 1997; Director, Administration and Finance – 1997 – 1999; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education – 2000; Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission – 2001; Honorable National Commissioner, INEC – September 2003 till date.

Her professional experiences include: School Administration and Management, Personnel Management, Public Management, Education Planning, Guidance and Counseling and Courses on Security Matters.

Her hobbies are reading, traveling, Indoor Sports Activities , sewing and singing.
